Sail Cards

SEA Sail Cards: in order to offer open sailing on the SEA fleet of Catalinas, RS Quests, and Picos, SEA is now selling Sail Cards. A Sail Card costs $50. There are 5 sign-off slots on the card, worth $10 each. You can use your Sail Card for Open Sails or for participating on co-op charter Mentor Sails on the Shockwave.

Youth Sail Cards (under 18) is $25 for 5 sign-off slots. They will be good for Catalina/RS Quest or Pico sailing.

The sail organizer for your first sail will issue your card upon presentation of your Pay Pal receipt. Our Sail Organizers are volunteers, and we prefer that they don’t have to handle money!

Requirements: You must be an SEA member to purchase a Sail Card and have either completed Intro to Sailing or Checkout. Youth must have completed Sail Camp Basic or attend Open Sail with parent.

Adventure Cards

SEA is pleased to announce a new benefit option for members: the SEA Adventure Card.
This is an alternative to the current Sail Card system.
Holders of the Adventure Card are entitled to:
  • Free one-day charters of SEA Charter boats, Tackful or Kitty Sark
  • Free sails on any other club boat during Open Sails*
  • Free mentoring sails on Tackful for those who have already completed a dockside class
The Adventure Card is valid for one year from purchase date, running concurrently with membership. The full price is $350 per year, but existing members may have the price prorated to their remaining membership. So a member with 6 months remaining may pay only $175 for the adventure card, which will then expire at the same time as their current membership.
Obviously, the Adventure Card will be of most interest to anyone wanting to charter SEA Charter Boats several times per year. Or for those who anticipate being checked-out in the near future and who want free mentoring sails and free open sails in the meantime.

Restrictions: Members must be fully checked-out on any vessel chartered and (in general) overnight charters are not permitted. Contact SEA for more details.
