Joe has been a volunteer of SEA since 1990 serving in various positions including help organizing Safety at Sea seminars, teaching small and keel boat sailing, serving on the Board, and repairing boats. He has been US Sailing Certified Instructor since 1993. Joe has been on or in the water his whole life, including six years in the US Navy. He is an avid sailor, swimmer, paddler, and rower.
Joe's earliest water memories are of his mother scraping the bottom of their Chris Craft cabin cruiser in a Sausalito boat yard, his father running aground in a very muddy part of San Pablo Bay, snorkleing the blue waters of the Carribean as a 4 year old, body surfing in Hawaii, and fishing for bullheads with his friends in Tiburon. Joe has passion to share his love of the water with others.
