Summer Sail Camp is Sailing Education Adventure's primary program for teaching youth sailing to youths during summer vacation. The US Sailing Certified program is based at the calm and protected harbor of the Marin Yacht Club in San Rafael.

One-week, half-day sessions to introduce younger children to sailing. Light morning breezes give younger children an opportunity to start learning about wind, water, safety and fun. Youths are taught basic sailing skills by our experienced staff. In safe conditions, children are encouraged to sail in pairs without counselors by the end of the their training.

Note: We cannot enroll 8-10 year olds in Basic / Intermediate camps. Children aged 8-10 who have completed one full week of Mini Camp are eligible to enroll in Basic/Intermediate camp at the discretion of the Head Counselor.

Full-day sessions for one week M-F that concentrate on sailing, boating safety and teamwork. Because students need time to master sailing, we highly recommend two or more sessions for a rewarding sailing experience.
Basic Camp is an introductory course that builds familiarity with boat handling and the principles or sailing.
Intermediate Camp further develops sailing skills, while providing longer and more challenging sails to with trained counselors coaching from safety boats. Camp staff will form the two groups based on sailing history and demonstrated skills at the start of the session.

Advanced Camp
Hours: 9:00 - 16:00 Ages: 11-16 Price: $360

One-week, full day sessions for more advanced sailors. Campers will be challenged by performance sailing, longer voyages, and an introduction to racing. Limited to campers who have already completed Intermediate or have equivalent experience. Each camper handles their own boat!

US Sailing Small Boat Certification: Optional You may become a certified Small Boat Sailor by completing the requirements in the Small Boat Sailor Certification Record Book - supplied and validated by SEA's US SAILING instructor.

Terms
Registration Policy
A non–refundable deposit of $100/child for each week camp is required and already included in your registration fee.
SEA Cancellation and Refund Policy
You may cancel your Camp registration with our Office. However, please be aware of our refund limits for camps. Also be considerate to fellow Camp families. Last minute cancellations are unlikely to be filled! We can help facilitate trades amongst families who agree to switch equivalent sessions.

14 days before start date – 50%
0–13 days prior to start date – 0%
Any cancellations, refunds or payment disputes resolved after 60 days from date of purchase date will require additional payment of 4% online transaction fees.
Missed Days
There can be no makeups for missed days. You are responsible for ensuring your child(ren) participate(s) in the camp during the dates offered.
Volunteer
Many volunteers work hard to improve the camp curriculum, equipment and facilities on a continuous basis.
