Something Different for 2012

You, as SEA members and sailors, make the choices, select the destinations, define the practices, choose the skippers.

Over the past 15-20 years, SEA has annually scheduled hundreds of Sails for its members.
Between April and October of any season, a Member could sail many times a month free:

• Advanced Catalina
• Keelboat
• Family
• Racing
• Adventure

These sails cannot happen without member participation. Join us to shape Sails for 2012.

In 2012, befitting its community sailing motivation, SEA proposes a model whereby its Members choose and schedule all the sails by forming Teams of Interest around each category of sail – a Catalina Team, Racing Team, Keelboat Team – you get the idea: if you love mid-week and/or weekend Catalina sailing, you join with others to organize them; if you want to sail to the SE Farallons or Petaluma, you join with like-minded Members to define the details and schedule. This is a bottom up way to go, reinforcing SEA’s community sailing mission. It may be you get to decide who qualifies as a SEA skipper too - for you to decide!

To get things rolling, there will be two meetings in January; if you want to participate in any and all sails, let SEA know your interests by registering on-line and by attending this meeting:
