We are happy to share with you that effective of April 18th we have a new SEA President of the Board, Eric Batalden. Here goes his first message to all our dear SEA members, guests and friends: Hello All,
Our season has officially kicked off with our "Opening Day on the Bay BBQ" which was a chance for members new and old alike to meet, share stories and experiences as well a have a little something to eat. There was also a raffle with prizes ranging from private sailing instruction to jewlery to a big bag of chocolate. It was a fine time for all who were able to attend, and a special thanks to everyone who help in the organization and execution of this wonderful event.
This year we at SEA are looking forward to another great year of introducing people to sailing, we have 101 classes filling nicely so take some time to say "hello" to that new person you don't recognize. We also have some 103 and several "mentor sails" on our calander for those that want to get some "tiller time" on our larger boats. We encourge everyone who is interested to explore their curiosity about the bigger boats. Last but not least are our "open Catalina sails" where there are opertunities ranging from honing skills to racing. If you are fresh out of a 101 class, come and join us on a "open Catalina sail" and further your skills. Furthering your skills is what the these sails are designed to do.
Just wanted to let folks know some of the things we had on deck for you :)
