Announcing to you all that we have just received a letter from NWSC stating that our application has been approved as of April 19, 2011.  Sharing to you all the content of the grant letter:

Dear Mr. Miglio.

I am pleased to announce that your programs grant application has been selected as one of sixty grants awarded under the 2011 Grass Roots Grant Program sponsored by the National Water Safety Congress and funded in part by the United States Coast Guard Office of Auxiliary and Boating Safety. This year the Congress will award 2,000 in grants to local boating and water safety councils and organizations to use in their boating and water safety programs and efforts.

The primary function of the Grass Roots Grants Program is to encourage local efforts in water and boating safety education, training, and other activities. All grants funds M U S T be used for activities which include B O A T I N G safety and education, not water safety education alone. Our grant Liaison Committee evaluated the grant applications and has voted to fund your request and
awarded 2,000.00 (for the purchase of PFDs and CPR/First Aid Certification)
