41648_1535312333_1534_nKimball Livingston: Journalist, author, screenwriter, but first and foremost an accomplished sailor, Kimball has covered every America’s Cup since 1980. He will speak about what the Cup means to Sausalito and the Bay Area and help start us on the road to the Cup! His passion for the Cup almost equals his passion for sailing on San Francisco Bay. As any Bay Area Sailor worth his/her salt knows, Kimball is the author of the classic, Sailing the Bay and was one of the writers for Francis Ford Coppola's 1992 release, WIND. He is an editor at large for SAIL Magazine and writes online at BluePlanetTimes.com.

Gary Jobson’s Film - History of the America’s Cup 1851-2007: Narrated by Walter Cronkite, this hour-long documentary traces the history of the world's most prestigious yachting race from the first challenge in 1851 through the campaign in Valencia in 2007. Jobson, America's Cup sailor, producer/broadcaster and America's pre-eminent ambassador for sailing, has compiled footage from the majestic racing yachts of yester-year, along with thrilling shots of the more recent high-tech machines. The program also features interviews with Cup notables including Jobson, Ted Turner, and Dennis Conner.

Come and enjoy these remarkable perspectives on the America’s Cup and get ready to welcome the race to the Bay in 2013!
