Busy Day on the SEA Docks Print E-mail

Helena_and_JoeWalking down to the dock on Sunday was amazing!

There were three simultanous sessions happening: ASA 101, ASA 103 and a Mentor Sail.  Tom Voltz was volunteer Lead Instructor for the ASA 101 class where the 10+ students were getting their on-the-water test.

Right up the dock was Mike teaching ASA 103 class with two students who recently completed the ASA 101 class (nice job of keeping the sailing momentum going!). And, finally, Board Member Chris was taking Joe and me on a Mentor Sail, practicing anchoring, docking and reefing under sail – some of the requirements to pass the skipper check-out.

It was an exciting day on the Bay; even learned to use the “bucket” (oh, you’ll know what I’m talking about one of these days!). Returning to the dock was just as amazing as leaving since all sessions were wrapping up, then SEA's trawler Descalza pulled after a China Camp adventure sail.

What a terrific weekend with SEA!  Thank you for being the great organization you are!
