Location: 143 Third St., San Rafael Bow Yoga is thrilled to introduce amazing workshops for women sailors, with yin yoga, a guest speaker and a meditation class. BARBARA McVEIGH Be creatively simple, resourceful and embrace stewardship. These are the mantras Barbara McVeigh strives to live by. She will share how mothering, sailing, nature and everyday people teach her the importance of this way of life. Barbara McVeigh lived in China, spent time in Central America, Europe and the Balkans. Now, she hardly steps foot out of Marin County (unless on a boat) because of the many compelling explorations and responsibilities found right here.
SpeakerA native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Barbara decided to embrace her SF nautical heritage and learn to sail. Inspired by her two great uncles and grandfather, who were self-made yacht designers, builders and racers, she did it and encouraged her husband to do the same. Now they both teach and race. Her husband even now directs the local nonprofit sailing school Sailing Education Adventures.
