Greetings, 
Just a quick note to let you know that the City's America's Cup Host City Agreement will be presented at two key public meetings immediately after Thanksgiving and your voice is needed in the public dialogue.

November 30th, 9:30 a.m. - Port Commission Special Meeting - Ferry Building Commission Meeting Room - 2nd Floor

The Port Commission will review and vote to approve the Host City & Venue Agreement which is the basis of the City's bid.  The Port's meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. There will be an opportunity for public testimony/comment following the presentation by Mayor and Port's staff.

December 1, 11:00 a.m. Board of Supervisor's Budget & Finance Committee Meeting - City Hall Room 263

The Board's Budget and Finance Committee (comprised of Supervisors Avalos, Mirkarimi, and Elsbernd) will hold a hearing on the Resolution and Host City Agreement and will take public comment.  While the meeting starts at 11 a.m. we don't know yet what time the  America 's Cup item will be called.  When the agenda is set we will send out an update.  Should the Budget and Finance Committee forward the package on to the full Board of Supervisors, they would vote on it on Tuesday December, 7 (there is no public testimony on the resolution at the full Board, so you have to come on 12/1 to comment)

The Board needs to hear the diversity of voices that support the City's effort to bring the America's Cup to the San Francisco Bay - the maritime and tourism industries, youth sailing clubs, neighborhood associations - all walks of life welcome to come share your opinion and please spread the word.
