UNITED STATES COAST GUARD, SECTOR SAN FRANCISCO (11-37270)
1 YERBA BUENA ISLAND
SAN FRANCISCO, CA 94130

Location: Building 2, Training Deck 3

Required documents: Drivers License, Registration and Proof of valid vehicle Insurance. Have these documents ready when entering the base. Please note, the Sector is a Military Base and a secure facility. Therefore, you and your vehicles are all subject to search. Weapons of any kind are prohibited even if you have clearance to carry by California law. (Federal LE are exempt)

Reason for base access: US Coast Guard - Auxiliary Public Education course. Security Forces should issue you a parking pass, please place it on your dash board in plain view.

Once on base, obey all speed limits and traffic control markers. Follow the road until you reach the parking lot near the water front. Park your vehicle as close to the water as possible in an open parking space. Please do not park in marked spaces for government vehicles or base personnel.

I know there are a lot of rules to follow, do not be discouraged. Most people enjoy the experience of being inside an active military facility.

If you get lost or need assistance please call the program OIC, Ketan Chinlund at: (510) 812-6041
