Sail Camp Maintenance Weekend Print E-mail
Written by Sailing Education Adventures

We would like to invite experienced, willing participants who thrive on hands on learning/teaching, and who are yearning to ensure our sail camp participants have the best vessels possible to our following event:

Dates: Saturdays & Sundays, April 21-22, 28-29th

Times: 9am-6pm

EVENT: Grind, glass and re-rig 12 Sailcamp Lasers at Marin Yacht Club

Our fleet of lasers kindly request your help in getting into shape for this seasons' sail camp.

The boats have done their best to take a few classes' worth of wear and tear, and lo and behold their strong exteriors are in need of some gentle love and care that only a grinder and strong chemicals can provide.

Crew needed:

-Grinders- people who enjoy the sound and smell of progress through friction

-Coaters- those who watched craftswomen work on layers of nail cloth and are ready to try it in a larger scale

-General Maintenance Engineers- A position for those who prefer to learn by watching and picking up things

-Food purveyors- a few individuals who will ensure the feeding and hydrating of the work crew. Strong communication skills and ability to estimate appetite rythms preferred. Ability to provide free coffee and pastries a must. In addition, punch and pie providers will receive special consideration.

Please reply to be considered for a crew positiion- Include what day or days you are able to participate, and at what crew level.

I will reply by thrusday with a schedule and crew positions.

Free coffee and pastries! Perhaps free punch and pie!! Act now!
