Please take a minute to mark your calendar, and plan to attend our annual
meeting where we recognize some of the extraordinary volunteers who
contribute to SEA. In addition to recognizing volunteers, we also elect
our Board of Directors at the annual meeting. Our annual meetings are fun, informative, and an interesting evening for everyone.
The Annual General Meeting will be on: Date: Thursday, October 11th Time: 7:00pm – 8:30pm Place: Mariposa Yacht Club, San Francisco Are you looking for ways to help Sailing Education Adventures? There are 11 seats on the Board, and 10 of them are up for election this year. Would you consider joining our board? Your involvement will help improve SEA and contribute to the sailing community. The board's strength lies in having a group of people with diverse skills and experience. What makes a good SEA Board member? There is no one right answer – some directors bring knowledge of boats and maintenance, others a financial or accounting background, while others are skilled at marketing and communications. The few requirements include attending most monthly meetings and having regular access to e-mail. Currently, the board meets at SEA’s office in Upper Fort Mason in San Francisco at 7pm on the third Tuesday of the month (except in October). We try to keep the meeting fun, relaxed, and constructive. (The newly elected board may change this date if they wish.) What can you bring to SEA with your participation as a member of the Board of Directors? If you would like to be considered by the SEA membership for the Board, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can include your name on the printed ballot for the meeting.
